Flower Tutorial

Flower Tutorial

I keep seeing textured paintings in stores and on the internet.  I decided to purchase tissue paper from the dollar store, the same one that people use for gifts. I also purchase the largest canvas that I could find, also from the dollar store. The size is 16 inch by 20 inch.  I wanted to do a demo painting first before I did a larger one. This  painting turned out to be very easy to do, and very forgiving. Now I can do something on a larger scale. Love Virtually by Daniel Glattauer – Book Review

It’s a virtual romance that begins by chance. When Leo mistakenly receives e-mails from a stranger named Emmi, he replies–and Emmi writes back.  Soon, secrets are shared, sparks fly, and erotic tension simmers. Even though Emmi is married, it seems only a matter of time till they meet. But will their feelings survive a real-life encounter?  And, if so-what then? Funny and fast-paced, Love Virtually offers plenty of twists, turns, and satisfaction. Broccoli Cheddar Soup in Bread Bowl

Broccoli Cheddar Soup in Bread Bowl

When my kids get home from school they usual make themselves a sandwich. Today I found the weather to be extremely cold.  I thought it would be nice to have a hot soup as a snack. The original recipe was served in a large circle Panera bread. Since the kids arrive home at different times I decided to put them in there own individual bread bowl. This turned out to be a big success. The kids loved the presentation, the soup, and they really appreciated a hot snack before dinner. You can use the bowl idea for any cream soup. Also it looks great when you entertain. I found this on MyBlessedLife.net  I have altered it a bit. Please stop by…

Drawer Organizers

Drawer Organizers

I purchased these dividers from the dollar store and I love them. They are just amazing for keeping my drawer arranged. I have always had a difficult time keeping my undergarment drawer organized.  I remember once visiting my aunt and being shocked how tidy her underwear drawer was, and she had no dividers. I have never been able to achieve it without divers. Now I can scoop out a pink bra no problem without having to dig for it.  It may not always stay arranged by color but at least it’s easier to find them. I also purchased them for my underwear; they are arranged in containers of darks, pastels, pattern and one for impractical.
